The "Human Organ Atlas CPER EPN 2030" project is a pioneering scientific project, considered revolutionary by the international scientific and medical community. Based on a new imaging technique developed at ESRF, this project was only made possible by the unique performance of the new ESRF-EBS synchrotron and by a program of investments in state-of-the-art equipment to create a new line of light (or specialized laboratory) with imaging tools unique in the world. It makes it possible to carry out an unprecedented mapping of organs and the human body, at the cellular level, in 3D, with an unparalleled resolution, and thus to bring a new light on infectious diseases and diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases.
