L-objettiv ġenerali tal-proġett huwa li jiżdied l-għadd ta’ programmi ta’ studju avvanzati ta’ STEM, inklużi l-industriji mediċi u kreattivi. L-għan speċifiku tal-proġett huwa li jżid in-numru ta’ programmi ta’ studju RTU STEM modernizzati billi jtejjeb u jiżviluppa l-infrastruttura RTU. L-istrateġija għall-iżvilupp tal-infrastruttura tal-RTU tiffoka fuq l-iżvilupp ta’ infrastruttura ta’ studju u xogħol xjentifiku kkonċentrata territorjalment u t-tisħiħ tal-ispeċjalizzazzjoni strateġika. Bl-għajnuna ta’ dan il-proġett, l-RTU se tkompli tinvesti f’oqsma fejn l-objettivi ta’ riforma jew ristrutturar għadhom ma ntlaħqux u dan l-appoġġ se jkun kontinwazzjoni loġika ta’ investimenti li diġà saru jew li qed iseħħu u se jkun ibbażat fuq l-2008. L-esperjenza miksuba matul il-perjodu tal-2015 u r-riżultati miksuba u l-Istrateġija għall-Iżvilupp RTU 2015.
