The construction “Modernisation of the line Rokycany – Plzeň” is one of the complex constructions on the section Praha-Smíchov – Plzeň, which is part of the government-approved programme of the western branch III. TŽK (Prague – Plzeň – Cheb – st. border with Germany) and also connects the entire set of buildings from Prague-Smíchov to the railway junction Pilsen, and runs from the railway station Rokycany (outside) through the premises Klabavy, Ejpovice and Plzeň-Doubravka to the Plzeň hl. n. railway station, outside the existing ŽST Chrást u Plzně.
