The aim of the project is that as many companies in the Mikkeli region can survive the state of emergency caused by the coronavirus outbreak and have even restructured their operations at the end of the epidemic. No company can be left alone, but a free Korona service is available for each company. The service is open on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00. The service is carried out electronically during the epidemic period. The primary tasks of the service are: 1) in exceptional circumstances, applying for available financial instruments from Business Finland, BSB and the municipality or Finnvera-linked bank loans. When applying for ELY and TEM financial instruments, the company must also have a plan for which development measures will be used. The COVID-19 service helps in drawing up the plan.2) The company’s financial advice. Various new economic arrangements during the COVID-19 outbreak. The economic review also has a longer-term impact than the COVID-19 outbreak and, at best, entrepreneurs’ financial awareness is growing. 3) Redirecting the company’s business, including both rapid development and long-term plans. Development activities are already planned in section 1 when applications for funding are made, but development activities are also carried out with companies that do not meet the conditions for applying for funding, e.g. tax-debted sole entrepreneurs.4) Supporting new innovations created by the exceptional situation. In particular, innovations seek new, crisis-generated digital solutions to facilitate interaction between service providers and consumers. Support refers to piloting and testing together with the company.5) Supporting and advising the employees of the city and municipalities in the processing of single-entrepreneur applications.6) The services of the (fragmented) business network are grouped together with a “regional one-stop shop”. Customer relationships are shared with both public and private entities, companies are networked with each other.7) Effective communication is carried out, both electronically and in print media. Organise training webinars. In addition, the project will bring together and maintain a regional website with links to the best national sources of information, as well as organisations providing regional assistance. There is also a chatbot that allows the entrepreneur to independently search for the support/solutions that suit your situation. The coronavirus service is actively communicated through regional channels and works closely with stakeholders’ experts, e.g. Xamk, ESEDU, ProAgria, UYK Dynamo, Yrityskummit, SY mentors, Etelä-Savon Entrepreneurs ry, and private consultants.
