Works on the railway no. 7 Warszawa Wschodnia Osobowa – Dorohusk on the Warsaw – Otwock – Dęblin – Lublin section, stage II

The subject of the POIiŚ Project 5.1-11.2 “Works on the railway line No. 7 Warszawa Wschodnia Osobowa – Dorohusk on the Warsaw – Otwock – Dęblin – Lublin section, stage II” is the modernisation of the railway line No.7 on the Warsaw-Otwock section (from km 4.900 to km 26.050) together with works on the railway link no. 506 (from km 0.700 to km 4.112). The implementation of the investment provides for: reconstruction of tracks, modernisation, reconstruction and construction of new engineering facilities: bridges, viaducts, culverts, pedestrian crossings, road tunnels, replacement of overhead contact lines and traffic control devices, reconstruction of platforms and their equipment, construction of traffic control system, renewal of the drainage system. As a result of the project, line 7 will meet the requirements and conditions set out in Polish regulations, standards in force in PKP PLK S.A., EU directives and AGC and AGTC agreements. The modernisation of line 7 includes the implementation on this section of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) of the European Train Control System (ETCS) level 2 The modernisation of railway line 7 was foreseen for the period 2017-2022. Construction works on the Otwock-Lublin section (except for this proposal – as part of the POIS.05.01.00-00-0010/16 project) are planned for 2017-2020, while construction works on the Warsaw-Otwock section (covered by this proposal) are planned for 2020-2022. Technical documentation for Stage II is produced under the POIS project.05.01.00-00-0010/16
