Increase in capacity of the line Nymburk – Mladá Boleslav, 1st construction

The railway line Nymburk – Mladá Boleslav hl.n. (line number 071, according to timetable numbering) is part of the national railway and serves both passenger and freight rail transport. The aim of the construction is to increase the capacity of one of the most heavily loaded single-track lines in the Czech Republic. The main purpose of the construction is to respond mainly to the increased demand for transport of cars, which in today’s scope already significantly burdens the line in terms of permeability.
