The aim of the project is to improve productivity and the quality of working life in Northern Finland’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and other jobs. The project supports job renewal in a holistic way and develops its competitiveness. The project will help to strengthen management and staff skills and promote well-being at work and coping at work. The development of operating methods and know-how supports the capacity of companies and workplaces to change in a rapidly changing and internationalising operating environment. The project also promotes awareness of workplace development practices, services and networks. The project measures include training, business and workplace policy development, events, networking, information and communication. The measures are aimed at enterprises and public business service operators (ELY Centres, TE Offices, Tekes and Yritys-Suomi regional operators).The result of the project will be the ELY Centres in Kainuu and North Ostrobothnia (incl. TE Office) business customer operating and service models that include comprehensive business and workplace development in the following areas: innovation and productivity, trust and cooperation, well-being and health at work and a skilled workforce. There is already a similar model in Lapland, which is being further developed. The ELY Centres of Kainuu, Lapland and North Ostrobothnia cooperate closely in the project by sharing their good practices. As a result of the project, companies and jobs develop comprehensively. The awareness that the development of operating methods and the quality of working life will have a positive impact on operational performance will increase, as will competence and readiness to change. Companies draw up/update their business and staff plans. Human resources planning skills, competence development and human resource forecasting skills will increase. The well-being at work and job performance experienced by entrepreneurs, management and personnel will improve. The capacity of companies to develop their operations in a comprehensive manner will be strengthened. The knowledge and know-how of public business service operators on the opportunities and actors for the development of working life is becoming more diverse and more diverse. This strengthens their activities in support of business development, productivity and well-being.
