Foorumix — Networks of supervisors in support of work ability management project pilots peer-to-peer forums in Satakunta SMEs. Experience will lead to a model for setting up peer-to-peer platforms at work and productivity in the workplace, which will remain permanent structures in companies. The project actively shows how much strength the networking of supervisors can have for the well-being of supervisors and, at the same time, of entire working communities. There is a need to launch long-term peer-to-peer platforms. Based on interviews carried out in Satakunta companies in projects of the previous structural fund period and in the framework of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, supervisors need an opportunity to share experiences, reflect on their own work and develop work ability management. Linking the issue of training or development days to one’s own supervisor is often left to a single supervisor. The aim is therefore to model an agile, time-efficient model that also supports working communities in change and renewal processes. In order to ensure the spread and rooting of the model, the project will focus on information, training and stakeholder cooperation. The project will develop peer-to-peer platform material and will contribute to the establishment of peer-to-peer platform activities as a new way of working for the partners. It is therefore particularly important for small and medium-sized enterprises to continue to provide expert assistance for the launch of the Forum and the transformation phases, for which cooperation with, for example, business advisors and occupational health care operators in the region is one of the solutions. In the Forumix project, the issues affecting the ability to work are widely seen, for example, different life situations are seen as key factors related to work ability. According to the studies, the gender perspective also affects the supervisor’s own role and well-being, as well as the work situations that the supervisor has to deal with are issues of equality and equality (e.g. reconciling family and work). In the project, the diversity and age management of working communities are priorities in addition to being able to carry out work. The expertise of experience experts (managers), stakeholders in the region, national partners will be utilised in developing and disseminating the model. In order to root social innovations in the project, an electronic material will be developed, with the stories of peer-to-peer supervisors playing a key role. The aim of the project is to create a new business culture that improves productivity and well-being at work, utilising peer support.
