The Pragersko station represents the node of the two-track main railway line No 30 and the single line No 40. The Pragersko node does not meet the TEN-T standards for the core network (axis load, track lengths, speed). The main objectives of the investment are to ensure technical suitability in accordance with TEN-T standards and interoperability requirements, to ensure category D4, appropriate line speeds in the direction of Maribor — Celje, to increase traffic safety and to reduce travel times. The project will upgrade 18.32 km of tracks and switches, carried out an extra-level crossing, renovated buildings, a subway and a bridge, renovated 5.11 km of roads and carrying out 2.125 km of noise barriers.
