The subject of the project “ŽSR, Modernisation of the Púchov – Žilina line, for speeds up to 160 km/hour, stage II – (section Považská Teplá/outside/- Žilina/outside, 2nd phase (Lower Hričov – Žilina), implementation” is to modernise the technical infrastructure of the line on the complex parts of the building: UČS 00 ŽST Žilina, UČS 51 ŽST Dolný Hričov and UČS 52 track section Dolný Hričov – Žilina. The section in question is part of the TEN-T network and the European Railway Corridor No. V for the achievement of parameters within the meaning of European Community legislation (e.g. Technical Specification for Interoperability “TSI”), European standards, legislation and standards of the Slovak Republic and AGC (European Agreement on International Railway Municipalities, 1985) and AGTC (European Agreement on the Most Important Routes of International Combined Transport, 1993). The main task is to make the Trans-European Transport Network and the transport network of neighbouring states more accessible. After implementation, the proposed construction must comply with the requirements for ensuring the interoperability of the European rail system within the meaning of Act No 513/2009 on railways and amending certain acts, as amended.
