The object of the project is investment activities aimed at the construction of Żłobka Miejskiego at ul. Anders 21 in Toruń. The investment is two-step. The building is designed with 2 floors above ground, not cellared. Stage I will consist of the construction of the eastern part of the building and the development of the area. On the 0th floor, 2 nurseries are designed, a common room, a social zone of workers, a parent’s room and a trolley shop in the southern part, and a boiler room, a toilet and a kitchen area in the northern part. There are also general communication in the form of a corridor and 2 separate staircases, smoked, with direct exit to the outside and 3 cranes – 2 for kitchen and one for the users of the building. On the + 1 storey there will be 3 nursery departments from the south, as well as the director’s room, speech therapists, HR and accounting room with file warehouse, workshop, laundry and cleaning equipment store. Phase II will cover the western part. There will be 2 nursery units, one on each floor. The need to implement the investment is due to the insufficient availability of social infrastructure for childcare under the age of 3 in the area of the Municipality of Toruń. The basis for the project was to analyse the situation of childcare under the age of 3 in the municipality. The implementation of the project will increase access to social services for its residents. This will improve the provision of social services from the point of view of the needs of the people in the region. The planned measures will increase access to childcare services under the age of 3 and increase the participation of women, in particular childcare. As a result of the project to build an urban nursery, new care facilities for children under the age of 3 will be created, which are currently missing in the Municipality of Toruń. Greater accessibility to nursery care will benefit children and their carers, who will be able to reconcile family and professional life.
