The subject of the investment is the construction of a section of the road constituting “Agglomeration Connection A4-S5” -Communication of the bridge on the river Oder in Brzeg Dolny with national road No.94 and Voivodeship road No.340 in the scope – section from the voivodeship road No. 341 (km 12 + 547.80) to the district road No. 1353D in Radecz (km approx. 17 + 940,00) – as a continuation of the construction of crossings through the Oder. The overarching objective is to ensure spatial cohesion in the area of the existing road network. The project is a part of the agglomeration ring road, which is also the ring road of the town of Brzeg Dolny in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The action will therefore allow transit from the built-up area of the locality. Moreover, the aim of the project is also to relieve the load on the road junction in Wrocław from traffic generated within adjacent municipalities and also from external traffic, whose destination is those municipalities. The planned section will enrich the communication system of the county and the voivodship west of Wrocław, thereby shortening and improving the quality of transport services on the western side of the Wrocław agglomeration. The creation of a new road will improve road safety on traffic-loaded sections of the existing road network and improve the transport accessibility of regional centres. Ultimately, by linking with the existing network of national and international roads, it will improve the quality of connections to the TEN-T network. The project will be implemented under the formula “design/optimise and build”. The projected road with a length of approx. 5.4 km will be a new element of the communication system with parameters: road class G 1/2, load 115 kN/axle, traffic category KR 5 and service roads. The investment envisages the construction of junctions of a roundabout and a bridge facility over the railway line. The target group shall be users of public roads (individual and public transport) in particular from the area covered by the investment as well as transit.
