The subject of the project is the design and construction of the provincial road on the section from voivodship road No. 455 to national road No. 98 with a length of about 9.8 km, i.e. from km 8 + 070 to km 17 + 919.44. The above section forms part of stage III, which is a continuation of the investment consisting of the realisation of a new transport link between the towns located on the southeastern and eastern outskirts of the city of Wrocław (Bielan Wrocławskie), through the village area: Żerniki Wrocławskie, Saint Katarzyna, Siechnice, Łany, Kiełczów, to the national road no. 98 in the area of Długołęka. The purpose of the investment will be to relieve the city of Wrocław from the traffic generated by the communes of Wrocław County, as well as from external traffic, whose destination is those municipalities. The section designed within the framework of stage III will enrich the communication system of the county and the voivodship east of Wrocław, it will shorten the time and improve the quality of commuting from voivodeship road No. 455, Czernica commune, Wojnowa district, Długołęka commune north (with the possibility of continuing travel by national road No. 98) without having to travel through Wrocław. The creation of a new road will result in improved safety on the sections of the existing road network being relieved from traffic in the area of impact of the voivodeship road. Moreover, the construction of a new provincial road will make adjacent areas more attractive for both residents and potential investors, which should result in their economic activation. The project will be implemented under the “design and build” formula. The proposed road will be a new element of the communication system with the following parameters: technical class of the road: G 2x2, road load: 115 kN/axis, KR 5 traffic category. The investment envisages the construction of: 3.50 m wide walkway, service and access roads, bridges and viaducts over the PKP area and national road No. 98.
