Construction of Szczecin Metropolitan Railway using existing sections of railway lines No 406, 273, 351

The main objective of the project is to create a targeted rail solution (SKM) and comprehensive integration of public transport in the SOM with the use of existing railway lines. The project concerns the creation of a SKM network on the following existing LKs: •No. 351 on the section Stargard – Szczecin Główny, •No. 273 on the section Gryfino – Szczecin Główny, •No. 401 Szczecin – Goleniów with branch for line 402 and 434 to PL Szczecin Goleniów, •No. 406 of its modernisation on the Szczecin-Police section with the construction of the second track on pc. Szczecin Central-Szczecin Turzyn. The project plans to build integrated nodes and stops with P&R and R parking lots, adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility (lifts, driveways) and devices related to the integration of transp. (tiletoms or naturals). The project will improve the separation of agglomeration traffic from freight through the use of modern railway traffic control devices on the modernised LK406 and the addition of the second track from S. Szczecin Główny to S.Szczecin Turzyn, which aim to improve the flow of rail traffic within the agglomeration. The project will be implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Partnership Agreement concluded between SSOM (Leader), Woj. Zachodniopomorskie, PKP PLK S.A., Gm. City of Szczecin, Gm. City of Stargard and municipalities: Goleniów, Gryfino, Kobylanka, Police and Stargard.
