Works on railway lines no. 140, 148, 157, 159, 173, 689, 691 on the section Chybie – Żory – Rybnik – Nędza/Tur

The project involves rehabilitation of railway sections directly connecting two TEN-T lines, i.e. E65/C-E65 and E59/C-E59. It is located in the south-western part of the Silesian Voivodeship, in the area of Rybnik Węglowa District, and is an important element of both local and European railway infrastructure in Poland. The project includes rehabilitation (restoration of the original technical parameters) on the new sections of railway lines (all sections are electrified lines): —No 691 section of Nędza Wieś-Tura, from km (-0.011) to 1.474 km with a length of 1.485 km; —No. 140 section of Nędza-Ladza Wieś-Sumina, from km 57.764 to km 67.862 with a length of 10.098 km (the section is covered by the AGTC agreement); —No 173 of the Rybnik-Sumina section, from km (-0.500) to 13.353 km with a length of 13,853 km; —No 148 Rybnik-Żory section, from km 21.873 to km 35.980 with a length of 14,107 km (the section belongs to the TEN-T comprehensive network and is covered by the AGCT Agreement); —No 159 section of Żory-Studzionka, from km 12.800 to km 24.444 with a length of 11.644 km; —No 689 section of Studzionka-Dębina, from km 0.000 to km 2.507 with a length of 2.507 km; —No 157 of the section of Dębina-Chybie, from km 2.390 to km 8.600 with a length of 6,210 km; Vmax – passenger and freight trains 100 km/h (for LK 140 section Nędza-Lodza Wieś – 80 km/h, LK 691-60 km/h), permissible pressure on axis 221 kN The total length of the railway lines covered by the project is 59.904 km (including 14.107 km is the TEN-T comprehensive network) The project’s material scope is planned to renovate/reconstruction 16 viaducts, 14 bridges and 1 footbridges (connectingly 31). The project includes the adaptation of platforms (19 pieces) to the needs of disabled people with reduced mobility at 5 stations and 5 passenger stops and to improve safety at 5 railway crossings.
