Modernisation of the Świnoujście water track – Szczecin to a depth of 12.5 m

The project covers the execution of works on: a) deepening the track to 12,5 m with the simultaneous extension of the track (including passing passings) on straight sections and with appropriate extensions on curves and on transition sections in the bottom, together with necessary adjustments to the geometry of the water track (approx. 62 km; reconstruction (regulation) of shore scarves without fortifications; C) levelling of the bottom in the zone of Świnoujście (from km ~5+ 134 to km ~16+ 640, including among others. Mieliński Canal and Piast Canal) – due to the Batymmetric system showing significant local pits in the bottom of the track; the construction and reconstruction of shore fortifications and hydrotechnical structures, together with adjacent infrastructure; this will include the fortification of underwater slopes at the shores of Huk, Sailing, BON, Gniezno and the strengthening of the slope of the turntable of Orla Przesmyk; e) Reconstruction of sectoral networks in places of collision with track modernisation; deepening and expanding the rotary vessels: — at the height of the Police, at the Orlim Pass on the Mielenski pier at the entrance to the Grabowski Canal, – in Port Szczecin – on the connection of Grabowski Canal and the Dębicki Basin. The project shall also include: — the adaptation and modernisation of the existing navigation marking and vessel traffic control system components to the new geometry of the track and the modernisation of the Navigation Base facilities, – the construction of new or expansion of existing refurbishment fields or the construction of artificial islands, along with their berths, in the Szczecin Sea, necessary to deposit the product extracted during dredging works related to the modernisation of the water track; — acquisition of land for buildings, necessary demolition of the conflicting facilities of the existing development, the execution of cuttings of trees and shrubs and possible deforestation. The scope of the project was also covered by a section of the Grabowski Canal with a length of approx. It’s 0,43 miles.
