The subject of the project is the construction of the S5 expressway between Poznań and Kaczkowo, towards Wrocław, with a total length of 79.15 km. The indicated length of the road to be built has been estimated and can be adjusted due to the nature of the implementation of sections in the optimisation and build system. The design solutions used can correct the length of the sections built. This section of the S5 expressway begins in km 1 + 605.00, at the connection to the western bypass of Poznań, behind the Poznań West junction (formerly the name Głuchowo) which is not part of this investment, constituting a continuation of the S11 road and the section of the S5 road in the area of the Poznań West junction. At the intersection with DP 2412P there is a Konarzewo node, and at the junction with DK32 Stęszew node will be built. The route is then incorporated into the existing route DK5, where Mosina node is provided. Behind the junction, the S5 trail follows the existing DK5 to the Czempin node. Then the S5 road leads in a new trail. At the height of the bypass of Kościana there is a node of Kościan North. Further, the road leads to Kobylnik, where there will be a knot of Kościan South. The S5 route then runs through the city of Śmigiel, where the Smigiel North and Śmigiel Południe junctions will be built. Then at the intersection with the existing DK5 there is a Lipno node. To the east of the village of Święciechowa, there is a node of Święciechowa. The S5 then omitted from the west of Leszno, where at the intersection with DK12 there will be a Leszno West node, and at the intersection with DW323 there will be a Leszno South node, from which leads the link between this S5 and the existing DK5. At the point of intersection of the connector and the existing DK5 there will be a Dąbcze node. The end of this section of S5 is located in local km 28 + 658.35 at the height of the village Augustowo, where it connects with the existing section of the S5 Kaczkowo-Korzeńsko road.
