The project covers all specific Natura 2000 sites that fall within the scope of PGL LP and within selected National Parks, excluding three marine areas: Ławica Słupska PLC990001, Coastal Waters of the Baltic Sea PLB90002 and the Gulf of Pomorska PLB990003. The aim of the project is to determine, inter alia, the distribution and range of lynx and wolf in Poland taking into account Natura 2000 sites and to determine their conservation status in accordance with the Habitats Directive. Specific objectives of the project: 1) Contribution of contributions to the Article 17 report of the Habitats Directive on the distribution of large predatory mammals (Eurasian and wolf) and provide information on the conservation status of these species in the biogeographical region (taking into account the parameters describing it: population, habitat and conservation prospects), including the development of GIS layers. 2) Collection, elaboration and publication of monitoring data in the form of a report by 2020, including systematisation of methodology. 3) Provision of data on GIOŚ services and powering of the Species Monitoring Database and Natural Habitats. In addition, the publication in electronic form in the IT services of GIOŚ and the popularisation of the project through GIOŚ websites and seminars for observation network and nature protection services.
