The aim of the project is to improve the ecological status of the river sections of the Vistula, Soła and Skawa rivers. The project will restore the coherence of the Natura 2000 network and restore the historical ecological corridors connecting the Vistula with the Soła and Skawa rivers. The strategic objective of the project will be achieved as a result of the implementation of the main investment activity of the project including the clearance of 9 hydrotechnical barriers located on the Vistula river section between the mouth of Soła and Skawa, a section of Skawa from the Świnna Poręba barrier to its estuary and at the section of the Soła River from the dam in Chaniec to the mouth.
