CERAD – Center for Design and Synthesis of Molecularly oriented Radiopharmaceuticals

Help programme reference_number: ___ SA.48425 (2017/X) Purpose of public aid:_art. 26 The project concerns the creation of a Centre for Design and Synthesis of Molecularly oriented Radiopharmaceuticals “CERAD” – a strategic research infrastructure listed on the Polish Road Map of Research Infrastructure. The planned infrastructure will be used both economically and economically. The project will be implemented by a consortium headed by the Applicant – National Centre for Nuclear Research (hereinafter NCBJ) – Consortium Leader and the sole beneficiary of the aid and consortiums – Warsaw University of Warsaw, Institute of Chemistry and Nuclear Technology, Warsaw Medical University, Jagiellonian University Medical College and Medical University in Białystok. The aim of the project is to create a modern research infrastructure in the area of searching for new radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostics and therapy, based on biologically active ligands operating at the cellular and molecular level. The combination of isotope techniques with molecular markers of disease condition will enable early detection of diseases and the implementation of appropriate therapeutic procedures. The project therefore responds to global socio-demographic trends and challenges related to the development of effective methods of cancer diagnosis and therapy. The implementation of the project requires the purchase and construction of fixed assets as well as the use of existing infrastructure elements. The CERAD infrastructure elements for purchase and construction of the project are: 1. Construction of a three-storey building CERAD 2. Cyclotron with particle energy up to 30 MeV. 3. Labs with equipment. Other elements of the proposed CERAD infrastructure are: MARIA nuclear reactor, Świerk IT Center, Preclinical Research Laboratory and POLATOM Research Department equipment. These elements are owned by NCBJ. The rest of infr
