The subject of the project is the implementation of innovative fibre optic cables developed in Elmat’s own R & D departments. Patent applications have been submitted for the developed cables, which confirm that they are products not available on the world market, which will contribute to the implementation of a new quality fibre network worldwide. The main assumptions of the proposal are the extension of the production infrastructure of the existing Laboratory and Production Plant of Lightwater Technologies from P.H.ELMAT Sp. z o.o. to the extent and scale, which will allow the implementation of the results for the production and sale of the results, including those submitted for patent protection of innovative new cable structures. The current plant does not have sufficient production capacity – the lines and machines installed in it serve mainly research purposes, and one change of production is used for current production. In order to implement new types of cables which have been developed recently, it is necessary to implement this investment. The project will include the extension of the production hall by an additional area of approx. 1700 m², fully equipped with all the necessary media and means of work, the purchase of 4 new technological lines with instrumentation, the purchase of specialised measuring equipment for testing and testing of manufactured fibre cables, which will enable specialised evaluation of both raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products. The configuration and specification of new technological lines, the advancement of their technical level based on the knowledge and experience of P.H.ELMAT Sp. z o.o. will create a new value that is not limited to increasing production capacity. It’s a bet. Thanks to the expansion of the plant and the launch of new lines, Elmat will introduce new fibre optic cables to the market, which will contribute both to the acquisition of new markets and to the growth of the value of Polish technological thought on the international arena.
