Short description of the measure “Practical vocational orientation in school year 201712018 in the regional authority Saale-Orla Kreis” in the Bildungszentrum Saalfeld GmbH Target group/Number of participants/School types The measure “Praxis-oriented vocational orientation” carried out by the Bildungszentrum Saalfeld GmbH offers 135 pupils of grades 7 to 9 of the State Regular School Oppurg of the Saale-Orla circle a practical support of their career selection process. The objective and content of the measure is to optimise the transition from school to education, for participants without need for fattening, especially in the areas of technology, health and social care. Practical experience is taught within the scope of professional field surveys and professional field trials, carried out gender sensitive and takes place outside the school in the vocational training centres and in companies. The aim is to strengthen the readiness for career selection and to improve vocational choice skills by empowering students to use the gained knowledge for the selection of a targeted internship. Integration into the overall concept of the local authority and schools The measure ‘Practice Vocational Orientation’, together with the Chamber of Crafts for East Thuringia HWK, is presented to the regular schools and support centres in the Saale-Orla district in public or free ownership, together with the Chamber of Crafts for East Thuringia HWK to provide practical vocational orientation. It is based on the ‘Landing Strategy for Practical Vocational Orientation in Thuringia’ and is financed by the School Promotion Directive from the European Social Fund. The support offer is complemented by the complementary measures ‘practice-based test methods for potential analysis in Thuringia’. In addition to the regional labour demand, the selection of the offered occupational fields is based on the Trend Atlas 2020 for the Free State of Thuringia as well as the Thuringia 2025 specialist perspective and complies with the eligibility criteria of the ESF School Promotion Directive. The Bildungszentrum Saalfeld GmbH offers practical experience for the regular school Oppurg in the following professional fields/focuss: Standard school: Gardening and Landscaping Gastronomy Electrics Health care, Computers/lnformatik/lT Metallbau Woodworking Mechanics Color and spatial design renewable energies, forwarding, warehouses Measure locations The project will be carried out in the workshops, specialist cabins and classrooms of BZ Saalfeld GmbH at the locations Unterwellenborn, Maxhüttenstraße 14, 16 and 21 as well as in Saalfeld, K.-Kollwilz-Str. 2, Bahnhofstraße 6a or Am Steiger 10. In addition, regional practice partners from the field of health care/care facilities are involved in the project implementation. The concept for the implementation of practical vocational orientation was confirmed for the school years 2017/2018 to 2019/2020. The application is made separately for each school year, the period for 2017/2018 covers the period from 14.08.2017-31.07.2018.
