An innovative foundry concept with a highly efficient melting process and a thermal mold sand regeneration plant is planned. For the melting process, a medium-frequency induction furnace is provided, which is operated with alternative or renewable energies. In order to generate energy, a photovoltaic system is planned in the warm season and a combined heat and power plant in the cold season. A new mains connection with a medium-frequency transf ormator is provided for connection. For the reuse of the mold sand in the foundry, a thermal sand regeneration plant is planned by which the mold sand can be used instead of only once, in future seven to eight times.
