Establishment of a DHW Service Centre in the Free State of Thuringia for the placement of skilled workers and apprentices in the Thuringian economy

The project is based on the joint declaration between the Organisation for Employment of Labour Potential (Greece Labour Authority) and the Thuringian Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family, see attached “Letter of Intent”. The aim of the project is to establish a Thuringian service centre for the transnational recruitment of Greek specialists and apprentices, which acts as an acquirer, intermediary, companion and node. On the one hand, it is about concretising the need for Greece in Thuringia and, on the other hand, professionally and sustainably recruiting specialists from Greece to Thuringia. The priority here is sustainability by retaining the skilled workers and apprentices to Thuringia, which is supported by existing structures and guaranteed by the service centre. The acquisition will be carried out on demand in four different regions of Greece. Innovative ideas and new ways of cooperation between regions and both countries will be found and tested and will lead to measurable benefits for the Thuringian labour market. The following services will be provided for the Thuringian labour market: [1] Acquisition, placement and support of skilled workers and apprentices for demand sectors in Thuringia as well as academics, such as specialist physicians in accordance with special Thuringian needs, [2] Exploring and using existing funding programs, network work. [3] Further tasks of the ServicesteIle arise from the need for intercultural support as well as further education and training. [4] The testing of individual solutions to promote “arrival” and integration in Thuringia is carried out using existing structures. For implementation, the DHW will use permanent staff of 2.85 VBE, distributed among four pro rata staff posts whose priority is good networking in Thuringia and Greece, bilinguality and native language skills (German, Greek, English), regional knowledge and structural knowledge in Greece and Thuringia, as well as political, social science and pedagogical training. The project process includes acquisition phases with information events and roadshows in Greece, multiplier events in Thuringia and concrete mediation activities. Scientific monitoring and evaluation should be ensured. The intention is to accumulate about 150 TN, up to 3 transnational LOIs between facilities and 13 realised events. Other project data: Funding is carried out in accordance with the subject of funding 2.2 of the Continuing Education Directive. The project has a funding period of 24 months (1.5.2016 – 30.4.2018).
