Practical professional orientation for pupils with severe disabilities in the school years 2017/2018 to 2019/2020 in the local authority according to lot list No. 3

Target group/AnzahI of the participants/school types: The measure carried out by the Bildungszentrum Saalfeld GmbH offers 25 pupils from grade 8 who learn either at a support centre in det Werk stage or in joint teaching (GU) at a standard, total or community school or a high school, individual preparation and accompaniment of the transition from school to the world of work. Objective and content of action: The purpose of the measure is to get to know the typical occupational processes, materials and working techniques as well as the reflection of own resources and possibilities. The students deal with the framework conditions of the action location and thus prepare themselves for the higher demands of working practice. They will be accompanied professionally and pedagogically. Integration into the overall concept of the local authority: The Bildungszentrum Saalfeld GmbH and ÜAG gGmbH work together in a single association. The ÜAG gGmbH is designated as the main responsible measure promoter. Students from Jena and the Saale-Holziand-Kreis will carry out the measure in the ÜAG gGmbH and pupils from Saalfeld-Rudolstadt in the Saalfeld Education Center. The offer is based on the “Landing Strategy for Practical Vocational Orientation in Thuringia” and is financed by the School Promotion Directive from the European Social Fund. Professional fields: In addition to the regional labour demand, the selection of the offered occupational fields is based on the “Trend Atlas 2020” for the Free State of Thuringia as well as the “Skilled Personnel Perspective Thüringen 2025” and complies with the eligibility criteria of the ESF School Promotion Directive. The Bildungszentrum Saalfeld GmbH offers practical experience in the following professional areas: — Construction, – personal care, – metal, – wood/paper, – glass/colours/lacquers, – traffic/logistics Measures: The project will be carried out in the workshops, specialist cabins and classrooms of BZ Saalfeld GmbH at the sites Unterwellenborn, Maxhüttenstraße 14, 16 as well as in Saalfeld, K.-Kollwitz-Str. 2, Bahnhofstraße 6a and Am Steiger 10 respectively. Duration: The concept for implementing practical vocational orientation was confirmed for the school years 2017/2018 to 2019/2020. The application is made separately for each school year and the period for 2O17/22018 covers the period from 1.3.2018 – 31.7.2020.
