The high-speed line Madrid-Extremadura-Frontera Portuguesa, commonly called Madrid-Extremadura High Speed Line is a Spanish high-speed line of passenger traffic currently under construction. The platform is designed for dual UIC gauge suitable for mixed traffic, which will host both passenger and freight service, although it is planned that initially the section with Iberian gauge track will be operated._x000D_ _x000D_ The objective of this line is to enhance passenger and freight movements along the Atlantic arch corridor, connecting Extremadura with Madrid and the Portuguese Border, and the interoperability of the network will facilitate this objective.
