The overall objective of the project is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy independence at the level of the regional operator APĂ-CANAL ILFOV SA, by making investments in the use of new photovoltaic systems to cover its own consumption at the level of 40 objectives in the operation of the applicant, to cover its own electricity consumption necessary to ensure the public service of water supply and sewerage, using renewable solar energy sources. Following the implementation of this project, renewable energy sources, i.e. solar energy, will be used to ensure energy independence for the objectives held in operation in localities: Balotesti, Bragadiru, Brănești, Cernica, Ciolpani, Ciorogârla, Clinceni, Cornetu, Dobroesti, Domnesti, Dragomireşti-Vale, Glina, Grădiștea, Jilava, Măgurele, Moara Vlăsiei, Mogoşoaia, Pantelimon, Peris, Tunari and Vidra. This will reduce CO2 emissions resulting from the use of current conventional energy sources. The insurance of own consumption will be done as a prosumer in compliance with the legislation in force. The project contributes to Specific Objective 11.1 by: increasing the level of energy independence of ORA-CANAL ILFOV SA by obtaining energy from renewable sources, for its own consumption; reducing the energy intensity of the activity provided by RPs; stimulating investments made by economic operators in order to reduce energy consumption and increase the energy efficiency of economic activity; increasing the share of renewable energy in total primary energy consumption, as a result of investments to increase installed power generation of electricity from renewable sources; reducing greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere by replacing part of the amount of fossil fuels consumed each year in relation to the energy savings achieved as a result of the implementation of the investment; more source-efficient, greener and competitive economy leading to sustainable development, which is based, inter alia, on a high level of protection and improvement of the quality of the environment; the contribution of Water-CANAL ILFOV SA to the achievement of the objectives of the European Union for the period 2021-2030, assumed at national level through the Integrated National Energy and Climate Change Plan 2021-2030 (PNIESC) on the final consumption of energy from renewable resources and the increase of energy efficiency, within the liop. After implementation of the project, much of the electricity needed at the level of the regional operator will be produced using renewable energy sources and will reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the radius of 21 localities located in Ilfov county, and Replacement of traditional systems using combustion
