The aim of the project is to increase the traffic capacity on the Sulina Canal and the safety of navigation on the Romanian sector of the Danube, part of the Rhine – Danube Transport Corridor, as an alternative economic and non-polluting mode of transport, in the sense of the policy on Sustainable Mobility of the Green Deal Strategy of the European Union, and the development of the ship transport infrastructure by ensuring the optimal floating and coastal signalling scheme, increasing the intervention capacity in the signaled points, increasing the quality of the pilot service, the modernisation of the FMAJ Galati dispatches in the ports of Sulina, Tulcea and Galati, the improvement of the transfer times of pilots and their security and the improvement of the information infrastructure of the FMAJ Galati, as a Waterway Administration, all this, in correlation with ensuring the protection of the environment and localities, with the dynamisation of economic development, according to the provisions of the General Transport Master Plan of Romania, of its obligations under the Partnership Agreement 2014-2020 and the specific national legislation.
