The project of Optimising the activity of transport and supply of cold water, reducing water losses by digitising the process of recording, billing and management of consumption from Hidro Prahova – the digitisation component is a viable solution for improving the quality of water delivery services, by implementing modern metering solutions, using the latest technologies in the digital sphere in the processes of collecting and analysing data from meters, thus replacing morally used equipment in order to streamline energy systems and improve energy efficiency. In this respect, it defines the set of objectives to be achieved by making the investment “Optimising the activity of transport and supply of cold water, reducing water losses by digitising the process of registration, billing and management of consumption from Hidro Prahova – digitisation component” in Prahova County: • Knowledge as accurately as possible of the quantities of water traded annually; • Increased operational efficiency; • Increasing customer satisfaction; • Meeting the 2030 climate and energy targets; • Increasing energy security through security of supply to consumers and reducing water losses; • Ensuring a sustainable development of the Regional Operator Hidro Prahova • Improving the quality of the services provided; Following the implementation of the project for optimisation of the activity of transport and cold water supply, the aim is both to replace the morally used equipment and to integrate at the same time new technologies in the distribution network of the Regional Operator, which increase the degree of automation and digitalisation, improving the operational performance of Hidro Prahova and implicitly sustainability in the supply of drinking water to the population, thus contributing to the objectives of the liop.
