The project consists of the construction and commissioning on the Rhone two motor vehicles type Rhénan (120 m*11.40m) dedicated to the transport of CVM (vinyl chloride monomer) between Fos-sur-Mer or Lavéra (13), and Saint-Fons (69). These self-propelled vehicles will be put into service on the Rhône before the end of December 2022. Each unit is equipped with six tanks of 500 m³, allowing a loading of about 2 300 t of CVM. This project will ensure the transport of 350 to 400 kt/year of GVC on behalf of Kem One, which perpetuates the choice of a low-polluting mode of transport for the next thirty years, and makes it possible to envisage the further development of the industrial activities of Kem One (PVC manufacturing in Saint-Fons and Balan) in the best economic and environmental conditions.
