The project, led by the University of Nantes, involves the renovation of the premises of the G. Veil building, in order to install the Joint Research Unit for the pathophysiology of bone resorption (UMR 1238 Phy-Os). This project leads to the relocation of the three teams of UMR 1238 from the 1st floor of the Gaston Veil building – where they are currently working, on the 3 rd floor left vacant by other laboratories (now located at IRS UN on the Ile de Nantes). In order to enable this new installation, renovation works and a rearrangement of the premises are necessary (rehabilitation of floors, walls, ceilings and interior carpentry; revision of ventilation/heating and lighting systems) to bring them back to standards and adapt them to the needs of research teams. The ERDF comes to co-finance this work alongside the Region, Nantes Métropole and INSERM. The operation complies with the selection criteria for Action 1.1.1 “Support to Research and Innovation Infrastructure and Equipment” of the ERDF/ESF Operational Programme 2014-2020. It is part of the theme “Therapies of tomorrow and health” of the Regional Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialisation.
