The project aims at the construction and commissioning of a methanisation unit that values biogas produced by biomethane injection into the natural gas distribution network managed by GrDF. The project is led by the simplified share company (SAS) BioPommeria, which belongs to the FondRoche Biogaz group, a company supporting the development of methanisation projects in France. The BioPommeria project will be able to process approximately 68000 tonnes of livestock and agricultural waste per year and create 62000 tonnes of raw digestate. Biogas will be recovered after purification and compression by injection of biomethane on the gas network managed by GrDF. The deposits that will be treated by the unit will be duck manure and slurry, blood, industrial STEP sludge, fats and viscera. The nominal speed planned for the start of the operation of the project will achieve an installed capacity equivalent to about 4 MW. This is equivalent to the production of about 37 500 MWh per year. However, the project is modular and the planned installations could achieve a maximum power equivalent to 6.4 MW. The project has a total cost of almost EUR 16.7 million. The expenditure presented by the project manager and eligible for the ERDF grant amounts to EUR 15176000.
