The STEP de Dillon is responsible for the treatment of wastewater from urban effluents in the commune of Fort-de-France. The concentration of liquid sludge during treatment is within a range of 15-25 g/l, depending on the operator’s data. The current centrifuge room houses two centrifuges installed on concrete plots to manage two sludge treatment systems simultaneously. This project is part of the improvement of wastewater treatment by the Dillon wastewater treatment plant. The latter has two centrifuges, one of which has existed for more than 20 years and whose spare parts are becoming scarce. The project will consist of setting up a second centrifuge, sized to extract much more sludge (compared to the old one) and optimise the operation of the dehydration chain of the plant and thus improve the treatment of wastewater. As part of this project, an automatic defroster will be installed at the discharge station level of the treatment plant as well as two aeration turbines for treatment line No. 2.
