SAS SANAMETHAN

The project is located in Vraignes en Vermandois in the department of Somme, on the Amiens-Saint Quentin axis. SANAMETHAN brings together 13 farmers for a total area of around 2.000 ha dedicated in particular to the cultivation of cereals, potatoes and beets. The project consists of the creation of a biomethane production unit with a maximum capacity of 350 Nm3/h. The special feature of the project is the setting up of a completely innovative system allowing the recovery of CO2 produced on site through the CLARKE ENERGY process instead of a conventional scrubber. The cryogenic purification process allows the purification of biogas and the liquefaction of biomethane and CO2, the implementation of this system therefore makes it possible to consider: — the injection of biomethane in gaseous form into the gas TSO network; — the liquefaction of CO2, co-product of biomethane, recoverable in many industrial applications (locks, dry ice, refrigerated transport, building materials). The implementation of this process will also make it possible to consider the implementation, in successive phases: —recovery of biomethane through a GNV distribution station – production of synthetic methane through the surplus of electricity available on the nearby grid (partnership with SICAE, which will be among the short-term shareholders); by means of pyrogasification and methanation technologies – hydrogen recovery.
