Châteauroux Métropole is engaged in the construction of an intercommunal aquatic complex that will make it possible to provide users with a complete offer for education, sport and leisure. The Balsanéo Aquatic Centre will be built northwest of the town of Châteauroux, in a former industrial district, on the site of old factories. On the edge of the Indre Valley, this district is booming with, in particular, the creation in recent years of a university pole. The Balsanéo Aquatic Centre is composed of three main entities: a sports hall with 2 pools and stands, a leisure pool with an indoor playful pool, a slide and a paddling pool, an outdoor pool and a balneodetic area. The total interior surfaces of the project are approximately 8 535 m. The exterior surfaces of the project (solarium, forecourt, parking) are about 15 330 m.
