In order to meet the objectives of urban and sustainable mobility in the metropolitan area, the Cyclable Master Plan (SDC) adopted by Clermont Auvergne Métropole on 30 March 2018, with its 223 km of routes, will offer a cycling offer on metropolitan territory, generating areas with pacified traffic but also extraterritorial links allowing the connection between neighbouring territories and major cycling developments. This project requires specific interventions on the viaire space for certain sections. The cycling scheme has made it possible to carry out initial studies concerning the sectors for which heavy infrastructure works will be needed and impacting traffic (removal of parking, one-way installation, removal of traffic lanes...). It will also require the implementation of complementary infrastructure actions: development of the offer of bicycle parking on the public space and in the car parks (equipment), and also the setting up of staking as the routes are arranged. Thus, this operation consists of financing a project management assistance service that deals with the implementation of the Cyclable Master Plan and the current infrastructure network, and bike counting campaigns.
