The main objective of the Project is to increase the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of rail transport in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship by purchasing new rolling stock (increasing the use of the applicant’s rolling stock in passenger transport at the expense of the Operator’s rolling stock). The implementation of the Project will also contribute to the following specific objectives:- CEL 1: improving the accessibility of rail transport for persons with disabilities,- CEL 2: reducing the negative impact on the environment – CEL 3: ensuring a maximum high level of security for travellers,- CEL 4: ensuring comfort of travel through the use of modern ergonomic solutions.The project includes the delivery of:a) 4 pcs. of brand new three-stage, two-wheel drive units, powered by the 3 kV DC overhead contact line and internal combustion engines, together with conducting training in the field of operation and maintenance, b) 8 pcs. factory new electric rail vehicles in a four-stage version with: delivery of a new, complete, stationary driving simulator with its installation, commissioning, training of employees and a five-year upgrade (the system with updates of routes), – conducting training in the field of operation and maintenance.
