This project consists of two partners, the Public University of Zaragoza (the Department of Electronic Engineering and Communications) and the private company Telnet Redes Inteligentes, S.A. The project has a start date in 2015 and an end date in 2018, with a budget of 1.4 million approx. The objective of the project is framed within the Digital Economy and Society Challenge, in ICT applications. This project has as a qualitative final result the fight against piracy and fraud in the entertainment and audiovisual sector, and in particular aims to be a tool for operators who “produce” pay TV. For the successful achievement of the qualitative result, the technical objective of the project is to develop an ONT and Header from the design and development of a chipset for the transmission of DVB-T 4K/8K encrypted signals on fiber optics. The end result is to obtain a prototype, present it to our customers who in turn are the big European operators and take the leap to start after the project to manufacture. These clients are multinationals, by this we mean that international projection is guaranteed, in Europe.
