The project of the modular medical unit will allow, on the one hand, the isolation of suspect/confirmed patients with COVID-19 from the other departments of the hospital in a way that is much more efficient and of absolute epidemiological safety than the current situation. That project, through the foreseen facilities and the human resource allocated, will substantially increase the intervention capacity of the Ploiesti County Emergency Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, optimising the flows of suspect/confirmed patients positively and providing additional technical capabilities and obviously increasing the healing rate and decreasing deaths attributed to COVID-19 by increasing the number of ITA beds. The facilities made in the project will operate after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic as complementary or backup units for ITA/Emergency for 10 years according to ORD.1404/2020.
