Development of a biomass energy production system in Rodna commune Bistrita-Nasaud county

The general objective of the project proposed for implementation by the Rodna Commune is to achieve a centralised heating system based on the use of renewable energy resources of woody biomass from the local level in order to ensure heating and domestic hot water for institutions, companies and residents of Rodna commune. The project contributes directly to the achievement of Specific Objective 6.1. of the programme: Increase energy production from less exploited renewable resources (biomass, biogas, geothermal). The production sector promotes actions aimed at increasing renewable energy production, with a focus on less exploited renewable resources, namely: biomass, biogas and geothermal energy, as well as supporting actions to strengthen the distribution grid to take over renewable energy. The LIOP Axis 6.1 programme aims in particular at an increased production of less-exploited renewable energy, which will provide additional improved results on: use of renewable energy for heating buildings, as a result of the investment in the realisation of the high-efficiency cogeneration plant for the production of electricity and heat from less exploited renewable resources. reducing carbon emissions to the atmosphere from the energy sector by replacing some of the fossil fuels consumed each year.
