The project “Security control equipment and systems for passengers, baggage and cargo” has as general objective to increase the level of security of passengers in the perimeter of the airport, respectively to increase the efficiency of the security activities carried out within the airport perimeter. The overall objective of the project is to increase the level of security of passengers at Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport by increasing the security of passengers and baggage in accordance with the security requirements defined in the Community and national regulations in the field of civil aviation security, the National Airport Security Plan, Decision (EU) No 8005 of 16.11.20015 regarding the use in the security control of passengers, personnel, hand baggage and/or hold of a certain percentage using explosive trace detection (ETD) equipment, as well as the European Commission Decision of 16 March 2020 on the use of a single pad for each sampling. The project “Security control equipment and systems for passengers, baggage and cargo” will contribute to the achievement of the upgraded 2S17 Airports indicator.
