The overall objective of the project is to increase the adequate care and treatment capacity of cases of COVID-19 infection/sanitary crisis management, by equipping 62 state pre-university education units within the range of Sector 2, by the City Hall of Sector 2 of Bucharest City Hall, a measure that will contribute to the fulfilment of the immediate output indicator, i.e. public entities equipped/supported for the management of the health crisis caused by SARS-CoV-2, by making the necessary investments to ensure the functional infrastructure and the necessary material resources to implement the minimum health and protection measures in schools supported in the school year 2022-2023, actions that will contribute to the achievement of result indicator 2S132: Adequate capacity to manage the health crisis by reducing the risk of spreading SARS — VOC-2 infection in the public system of pre-university and/or university education. Limiting the spread of the virus, as well as its extremely serious effects on the Romanian population, will be achieved, through the project, by providing the medical protection equipment/devices and the minimum hygienic-sanitary conditions necessary, so that the corresponding endowment of 62 state educational units, in the school year 2022-2023, will contribute to the achievement of the result indicator 2S132: Adequate capacity to manage the health crisis by reducing the risk of spreading SARS — VOC-2 infection in the public system of pre-university and/or university education, including the provision of medical protective equipment, as follows: • 133.213 boxes — medical protective mask (box/50 pcs), respectively 6,660,650 pieces • 16.6805 l cans — hand disinfectant (bidon 5 l), respectively 83,400 liters • 4.210 cans 5 l — surface disinfectant (bidon 5 l), respectively 21,050 liters • 3,318 pieces — dispenser/dispenser for disinfectant with sensor • 1,659 pieces — device for disinfection and air sterilisation. The project will consider the implementation of measures to protect against transmission of SARS — VOC-2 virus, for a number of 40,605 beneficiaries such as teachers and auxiliary staff who carry out their educational activity alongside pupils in preschool, primary, secondary and secondary schools, belonging to the 62 state pre-university educational units in the area of Sector 2 of Bucharest Municipality. The closure of schools, in the context of the pandemic, has had negative consequences both on children’s educational progress and on their emotional health and, moreover, on their online safety.
