According to the specifications of the Operational Programme Large Infrastructure (IOP) and the Specific Objective of Priority Axis 9, Investment Priority 9.1 “increasing the capacity to manage the COVID-19 crisis”, the overall objective of the project is to increase the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis by making investments at the level of the pre-university education units, in order to develop in good conditions the educational process and to prevent and diminish the potential spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection. The way in which the project contributes to the result indicator of the programme and generates a positive long-term effect is to facilitate the equipping of educational units with medical protective equipment, equipment for disinfection and air sterilisation and disinfectant solutions necessary to be able to apply the minimum sanitary and protection measures provided for educational units during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a positive impact on the development of an adequate capacity to manage the health crisis. The project contributes to equipping the educational units with protective equipment, equipment for disinfection and air sterilisation and disinfectant solutions (virucida/virulicide action), which allow compliance and application of all standards of protection against SARS-CoV-2 and, consequently, contributes to the reduction of the risk of spreading the infection with SARS — VOC — 2 in the public pre-university education system. This will enable the educational unit to operate safely in epidemiological conditions to prevent diseases with SARS-CoV-2 virus. The benefits for the target group derived from the project are to reduce the risk of spreading SARS-CoV-2 virus, by ensuring health safety conditions at the level of the educational unit and by early detection of possible cases of infection. Thus, the project aims to increase the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis by equipping the 41 pre-university education units in the 6th sector of Bucharest, with medical protection equipment/medical devices and/or to ensure the minimum hygienic-sanitary conditions necessary to prevent, detect early and reduce the potential spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection. The project contributes to the achievement of the result indicator of POIM 2S132, in strict compliance with the provisions of the GS, namely “Adequate capacity for care and treatment of cases of infection with SARS virus — CoV-2/sanitary crisis management — Prior to LIOP intervention: No, after the intervention: YES, YES.
