The overall objective of the project is to increase aviation safety and airport security. Ensuring a high level of safety during civil aviation activities at Timisoara Traian Vuia International Airport and continuously improving them in accordance with the MPGT strategic document and Regulation (EU) No 139/2014 laying down technical requirements and administrative procedures at aerodromes by carrying out works to achieve a perimeter security road, a perimeter security fence, modernisation/restore of access control points 1, 2 and 5, the development of a PSI substation for rapid intervention, the modernisation of video surveillance systems and the creation of external networks serving the objects made for non-economic activities. This project, i.e. its objectives, are fully in line with the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme 2014-2020, Priority Axis 2 Developing a multimodal, quality, sustainable and efficient transport system and contributes to the achievement of Specific Objective 2.3 — Increasing the sustainable use of airports by purchasing equipment that is technically, physically and economically sustainable, contributing both to ensuring a high level of security and to a sustainable and sustainable development of Timisoara Airport Traian Vuia.
