Development of anomaly detection algorithms, predictive and prescriptive dedicated to selected stages of fiber optic cable production in order to increase the efficiency of the production process.

Number_reference_aid_programme: SA.41471(2015/X) Purpose of public aid: art: 25 EC Regulation No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty (OJ L 119, p. That’s it. EU L 187/1 of 26.06.2014).The project is an attempt to develop solutions in the field of anomaly detection algorithms, predictive and prescriptive as responses to the inefficiencies identified by the Applicant for the various stages of production of fibre optic cables, expressed by the number of defective cables that do not meet the customer’s requirements. With the current and growing scale of production, the number of occurrences of various defects disqualifying a given fiber optic cable is a source of measurable financial losses for the Applicant in the form of wasted resources, costs of disposal of defective cables or their possible repair. Despite collecting a very large amount of data describing the conditions of the process and dedicating the team to analyse them in order to detect and understand the relationship between different parameters associated with specific defects of fiber optic cables, the effects so far are not satisfactory. Recognising the need to change the above situation, the applicant intends to use huge collections of process data collected at the various stages of cable production by different types of sensors and ask them to analyse and draw conclusions/suggestions on the desired changes in the process conditions in order to avoid a defect in the solution in the area of advanced statistical analysis and AI: we will strive to obtain non-linear dynamic models, reflecting the properties of the process in a wide range of conditions, both in fixed and transient states. If the above idea cannot be realised, then a non-linear static model for equilibrium states and local linear, deviation dynamic models will be sought, describing the transition states specific to the chosen ones.
