The implementation of the project concerns the strengthening of the human resources of the health care system. The aim of the project is to increase the level of competence by 18,000 physiotherapists from all over the country in the field of physiotherapy of patients with infectious diseases, including in particular COVID-19, disease rehabilitation and physioprophylaxis through the use of specialised training support during the project implementation. The target group of the project is 20,000 physiotherapists and physiotherapists from the whole country, i.e. people with the right to practice the profession of physiotherapist granted by the National Council of Physiotherapists. As part of the project, training will be carried out in 7 basic areas of physiotherapy falling within the scope of disease rehabilitation: pulmonological, orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, paediatric, oncological and uroginecological training and training on other important issues not included in any of the fields, e.g. physiotherapy for OIT or pharmacotherapy. The main element of the training programs will be the preparation of physiotherapists to work with the patient in stationary, outpatient and home conditions. The training will be available in various forms — stationary, remote and hybrid. This will be possible thanks to the creation of an proprietary e-learning platform for organising, implementing and controlling the course of lifelong learning in the professional group of physiotherapists. The created IT infrastructure will contain teaching content in the form of training programs translated into a multimedia form (teaching materials and instructional videos). They will consist of specialised thematic modules formulated in a flexible way to create training pathways. Project activities are particularly important in the era of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic, where the demand for physiotherapy services continues and will continue.
