The main objective of the project, consisting of the construction of a photovoltaic farm in Rakowc, is to increase the production of electricity from RES. The implementation of the project will contribute to the generation and distribution of electricity from solar energy in the amount of approximately 5 880 MWh/year, instead of the previously used hard coal, which will lead to a reduction in the amount of coal currently consumed, and thus a reduction in CO2 and PM10 emissions. The investment project meets the basic objectives and assumptions of the priority axis of the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme, as its implementation will reduce the consumption of non-renewable primary energy, by increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the energy balance, as well as showing a positive impact on the environment by reducing emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, including CO2 and particulate matter.
