The objective of the project is to increase the stability and efficiency of governance of PA 06. This will be reached through enhancement of operational capacity and by strengthening the ownership of PA 06 and the EUSDR at the level of its Steering Group (SG) and Tasks Forces (TF), further to create synergies with other EUSDR implementing bodies and relevant institutional actors in Danube policy. The expected change from the implementation of this project is an improved coordination and implementation of the strategy in PA 06. It shall mark a considerable perpetuation, stabilization and improvement of the experiences made in the implementation of PA 06 so far. Generally, the project for PA 06 for the period 2017-2019 is based on the revised targets of PA 06, the Action Plan, the PA 06 Road Map, the knowledge, experiences and results of the ongoing work of the so far established Task Forces in the framework of PA 06. Specifically, it aims at professionalizing management procedures for implementing PA 06 goals, thus sup-port the PACs work to coordinate and manage the implementation process, including cooperation with relevant EUSDR actors, other PA´s and the Steering Group. Furthermore, it shall contribute to facilitating effective work of actors on the ground related to PA 06 issues, raise awareness of the policy level and the wider public accordingly and gain in-depth knowledge on specific topics, particularly by conducting targeted studies in the field of policy develop-ment in the core topics of PA 06 such as ecological connectivity and ecosystem services. Overall, the project shall help to particularly to systematically connect various stakeholders in the Danube Region with the policy level in the EUSDR states. The expected results of the project are target oriented stabilization of implementation mechanisms of Priority Area 06 and an increased number of involved actors.
