Pyrenees career guidance, mobility and Vocational Education and Training (VET)

People, especially young people, who live in the Pyrenees regions, need to acquire Vocational Education and Training (VET) adequate to the needs of socio-economic environment for improving their employability. Border areas, because of their geographical, cultural and labor market proximity, become the priority space for employing their population. This project aims to provide guidance and access to training and qualification services and resources for regions on both sides of the border. The interrelation of professional orientation, training, validation and recognition services, and the recognition of prior work experience acquired by the people can be a powerful tool for increasing and improving the employment opportunities. This project aims to provide information services and career guidance, taking into account existing resources and services in the border area. So, youth would be able to choose those offers training or experience recognition best suitable for their interests. The project also aims to improve the students’ skills in Vocational Education and Training, through cross-border mobility. It will be possible that: - They study Vocational Education and Training mutually recognized by vocational schools of origin and destination. - They acquire learnings in cross-border enterprises with curricular value.
