The energy industry is growing strongly in our regions, and in particular the battery industry. In order for the investments in this new industry to best strengthen the regions and welfare, we need to respond with smart strategies for the provision of skills. We need to ensure that competence development efforts in the best possible way meet the needs of the industry, while ensuring a socially sustainable society where the region's citizens take part in the development. In this project, we work on mapping competencies and educational needs, while strengthening our collaboration and building networks. One of the results is expected to be an interregional strategy or agreement on the continued work to secure the supply of expertise at the manufacturing stage of the battery industry, and possibly other parts of the value chain where our region is well placed to take a position.
